Redevelopment of the Landmark office Buildings, set within its own courtyard, situated on the south side of Knightsbridge close to the junction with Hyde Park Corner, provides Grade A accommodation at one of the most prestigious addresses in London.

 

Elkoms has provided MEP, Energy and Sustainability detail design for refurbishment of 150,000 sqft. luxury office. It is a central aim of the development to refresh the existing building with modern, best practice, building services and equipment including latest Air Source Heat Pump Technology to achieve Gold Well Standard and Platinum Wire Score Standard and to provide the best quality office accommodation for a future tenants.

 

The project is targeting BREEAM Excellent for refurbishment.

 

The following measures have been undertaken to ensure sustainability:

 

- Replacement of traditional water cooled chillers and gas fire boilers with new roof mounted air source heat pumps

- Design and specification of all new building services equipment following modern best practice

- Replacement of the Electrical stand by plant

 

- Modernization of the main electrical switchgear

- Inclusion of planting at roof terrace level to encourage biodiversity and well-being

- Retention of the majority of the existing building fabric including: foundations and sub-structure, the steel structural frame, building cores and most of the façades.

- Selection of external and high use internal finishes to be robust and resistant to weathering
